A good picture?

Okay. I haven't figured it out yet. #1 The art of photography is beyond me. I think I'll take a photography class. But it will only help if I I figure out: #2 How do you get more than one child to sit still, look in the same direction, and have a least a mildly happy look on their faces??

Easter - everyone has new clothes, and they're happy. Good time for pictures, right? I think a little too much candy got us off to a bad start.

Tanner was goofy, and the twins couldn't calm down!

Hope you had a happy, and picture-ful Easter!!

I have the same problem with trying to get all of my kids to look at the camera and smile at the same time too. I get to the point where I just give up.
The pics are cute and so are the kids. I can't believe how quickly time passes and how big all of our kids are getting! Ugh, I'm getting old!

cute, val!

the best camera trick i know of for kiddos/large groups is to find your multiple shot mode. i can almost guarantee that your camera has one - the little graphic for it might look like several papers stacked. then you hold down the shutter and it takes repeated shots. so almost every time i take a photo i actually shoot like 10 - and chances are that one of them is decent. or at least they're all looking... but i'm also liking more and more the ones where they're NOT all looking. ;)

I did not even take a picture on Easter. Your kids are adorable! I think the twins look so much like Cannon (but I think you and Cannon kind of look alike, too). They've grown up so much! They've lost all their cute, chubby baby cheeks and look like growing boys. Sydney still looks the same to me. It was good to see an updated picture, even if they weren't all perfectly looking at the camera. Do you know what you're having yet?

AWESOME!!!!
Your pictures were totally adorable. It really helps when you have such good subject matter for the pictures. We just need one of the parents too.
My picture tip...let someone outside your family take the picture. Clark got a great one in one take after I had taken about 20 bad ones.

They are very cute. Sometimes the unstaged, unposed photos are best at showing personality. Looks like you had a fun Easter!

Cute pictures! They've grown so much. We'll have to try to stop by and say hi the next time we're up north. I know it's hard to get them to cooperate. That's why I leave it up to Boyd and he's a stickler for the perfect set up. I just have to get him caught up with technology and talk him into a new digital camera!

They all look so handsome (and beautiful Sydney) no matter what happens in the pictures! I think you did well! How are you feeling?

Emily - still don't know the sex. Another couple of weeks and we'll know. I'm dying to know so I can plan who will share rooms, etc.

Melissa - I'm feeling sooo much better! Every pregnancy is different. I'm enjoying the post-sickness, pre-diabetes time!!! (This means I eat whatever I want!)
